I am currently junior a production design major and fibers minor at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I am from South Holland, IL, just south of Chicago, IL (go White Sox!)
During my past 3 years at SCAD, I have been the head production designer for 6 student films, done creative direction for 3 photoshoots and I have done art direction for 2 films! Being a part of the art department is no easy job.
I love doing production design because are a huge part of creating the look for the set we are working on. Whether I am painting on wooded crossed inspired by Mexican art, designing Christmas decorations or cutting up wood for theater flats, no task is the same as the last one.
Filmmaking has taught me how to build strong friendships, communicate better with my piers and it has taught me how to be quick on my feet. There is truly nothing more exciting than being on a SCAD set.
